The top callout was Jay Cutler, Phil Heath, Dexter Jackson, Branch Warren, Kai Greene, Victor Martinez and Branch Warren. Kai Greene won’t be winning the 2009 edition, holding too much water and not sharp enough. Phil Heath brought it on stage and Jay Cutler is back!

It’s official. It’s been talked about and talked about for months and finally, tonight the best bodybuilders in the world gathered at the Orleans Arena ballroom to kick off Joe Weider’s 2009 Olympia Weekend. After getting a run-down of the greatest four-day event in bodybuilding, they’ll be back to take center stage on Friday and Saturday, September 25-26 to determine who will leave Vegas with the Sandow. Las Vegas is where it will be happening on September 24-27 for the Olympia contest. The updated Joe Weider’s Olympia Weekend 2009 site is up and revamped, with ticket sales beginning on February 28, 2009. The site is located at www.mrolympia.com, so go check it out. The Olympia Weekend is the biggest bodybuilding event of the year, with almost all of the top competitors in bodybuilding, fitness and figure competing.
