The top callout was Jay Cutler, Phil Heath, Dexter Jackson, Branch Warren, Kai Greene, Victor Martinez and Branch Warren. Kai Greene won’t be winning the 2009 edition, holding too much water and not sharp enough. Phil Heath brought it on stage and Jay Cutler is back!

Take a look at Dexter’s back it’s wider which shows that he worked hard in the gym this year.

Jay still needs more definition on his abs.

It’s been talked about and talked about for months and finally, tonight the best bodybuilders in the world gathered at the Orleans Arena ballroom to kick off Joe Weider’s 2009 Olympia Weekend. After getting a run-down of the greatest four-day event in bodybuilding, they’ll be back to take center stage on Friday and Saturday, September 25-26 to determine who will leave Vegas with the Sandow. 202 EARLY WEIGH-INS

Most of the 202 Showdown competitors were on hand for the early weigh-ins, with the exception of Clarence DeVis and Stan McQuay. Both Eduardo Correa and Mark Dugdale missed the 202 cutoff but have until tomorrow to drop the extra pound needed to make the show. Bet on both men standing on stage this Saturday.

Early numbers have last year’s 202 runner-up Kevin English weighing in at 201.6, with Flex Lewis – the third-place finisher in last year’s showdown – tipping the scales right at the 202 mark … in clothes.

As Dennis James says: “I usually don’t do photo shoots when I’m in my carb depleting phase since this is when I look the worst but this time it’s all a little different working with George really showed me that it is possible for me to look like I usually do a few weeks out from a show.” However each of us can agree that he looks great in this picture even he is on low carbs.
